2nd Grandma Debbie Camp 2012

Well after all is said and done, I can almost promise that this group is the one with the most energy.  Oh my gosh they just never tired.  I was so happy with them though--everyone got along, with no fighting amongst themselves or anything.  This picture is the beginning.  We are at our Hotel in Layton waiting for Mason to come.  We are loaded and ready for a good time.  So I have lots of pictures and probably shouldn't have put so many in.  But I suspect that soon they will be like my first group and will some day not want their picture taken.  But for now they love it, so I took advantage of it.

We have Mason now and our wonderful shirts on.  We grabbed Rachel while she was there to get a picture of all of us.  Aren't we a good looking bunch.

I leave them for 2 minutes to go to the bathroom and this is what happens.  Mason is part monkey we all decided.  I thought Gage had a lot of energy well.....

Always after everyone is together I take them to the store and let them pick out there own treats.  Everyone gets to pick there own favorite treat but then must share it with everyone.  They also get to get drinks.  It seems to be a big deal to find a drink that normally has caffiene in it but is now caffiene free.  Gage couldn't decide between Mountain Dew and Diet Coke.  Winner was Caffiene free Diet Coke

Just look at all the goods that we picked out and are now loading up.

First thing we do after getting organized is go for a swim.  Here are my two beautiful little models

I ended up buying goggles for everyone because Tenaya remembered to bring hers.  Gage insisted that he must have the ones with the nose piece , so Grandma not wanting her sweet grandson to drown for lack of the right equipment, bought him the ones he wanted.

Golden Corral seems to be the choice amongst everyone lately.  I think I have been there more in the last 2 months than I have the whole year.  Its the chocolate fountain and cotton candy that does it.  Smart advertizing!!!

After eating we went to the Nickel Cade.  It is so weird because I used to bring Davinn and Channing here when they were the same age.  Once again I find myself having come full circle.  I have still never convinced any child that they could buy 5 times more stuff at the store than what they spend winning tickets to buy stuff.  I guess its the fun of the win.

I have been so excited to take this little ones to a drive-in movie.  Most of the times I have been the ones to introduce them for the first time to the drive-in movie scene.  This time Mason had been several times and so had Tristie.  We were so nervous because the weather couldn't decide if it was going to rain or not.  Obviously, we decided to try our luck and it was a good decision.  We planned on just staying for ice age but at 11:30 these kids were still going strong, so we stayed for the second movie.  We left the movie at 1:00, arriving to our motel at 1:30 and finally falling asleep at 2:30.  Like I said--lots of engergy.

They still look tired huh even though I let them sleep untill 9:30

In the pool again.  They could have just stayed in the pool the whole time, they just never got tired of it.  Tenaya pretty much learned to swim while here.  That was exciting for her.

On to Hollywood Connection.  My camera was giving me fits so pictures weren't the greatest.  Again I used to bring Davinn and Channing here--strange feeling!!

Do they look bored?  They are waiting for lunch to be served which I might add that none of them ate except for Gage. Yippee for you
Gage!!!

Gosh I have beautiful grandkids but then that is because I have such beautiful children.  Look at Gage just a posing.

The kids ended up spending loads of time in this play area.  It was huge.

Gage was always hot and so bought himself a fan with his tickets that he won.  Doesn't he look like he is relieved from the heat?

Our final get together.  We bought ice cream at the shop in Hollywood Connection.  Yummy!!  I'm sure everyone had a great time.  I know I did.  I thank the parents for raising such great kids.  We wouldn't be able to do things like this is they were little ........you know!!!

4th of July 2012

Our 4th was a little (actually a lot) different than what we usually do.  We have lived here for 23 years and for that entire time we have gotten together on the 3d of July, somewhere by USU to watch the fireworks and have a picnic together as a family.  It has been as traditional as Christmas. This year Davinn is gone, Desiree is very pregnant, Shellece's whole family is gone, Radell  is 2 hours away, Marshall had a class, Channing had to work and I probably could go on but you get the picture.  So we changed the date and celebrated the 4th on the 4th instead of the 3d as usual.  We went to Hyrum to Marshalls house and watched the Hyrum fireworks there.  Danielle had her parents and other members of her family there.  So all in all it was very different. But I won't complain because any time I am together with any of my family I am a happy mother.  I missed terribly the children who weren't there but enjoyed very much the ones I was lucky enough to be with.  I also enjoyed Danielle's parents very much.

Regardless of the occasion I feel a need to decorate.  Sometimes it seems a little silly since most of the time no one notices and we just throw it all away at the end of the day.  But it is fun for me and hopefully some day others will enjoy it.

Marsh make Root Beer again and it was wonderful.  I think he has it down.  I drank so much I felt like I could float. We never get tired of it.  Thanks, Marsh.

Desiree and her girls made treats for our event and these are her fun rice krispie treats.  They were a big hit as usual.

I seldom get a picture of Channing so whenever it is possible I grab it.

Tanner has no fear of heights.  He scared me to death as he climbed on top of the swing set and then jumped down to the tramp.

Here is the most popular little guy of the night.  Everyone wanted a chance to hold Tretyn.  He is such a good baby and so dang cute.

These two missed their buddy Clay but enjoyed themselves anyway.

This is Daniell's dad Stan.  He is a pretty sweet guy and a great grandpa.  This little one adores her grandpa and the feeling seems to be mutual.

All decked out for the celebrations.

Lanessa was a sweet heart and bought sparklers for everyone.  Tayson also had a bunch from his birthday that he shared.  All the kids loved it.
