Kindness begins with me (or Scott)

My son-in-law (in the green shirt) called me on Saturday and said, "Do you have anything I can do to help you out"? My mind was racing thinking of all the things that I could have him do at my house. Such a nice thing to do. So Bayler, Scott, Channing, Kunane and Tony cleaned the remaining junk out of my yard from when we replaced my roof. Plus Scott started an area up for me to plant strawberries. The whole thing made me feel loved. Thank you Scott!!

My brothers grave--Memorial Day 2012

Lucky for me my brother choose to be buried in Weston, Idaho. I am always sad for his wife and children on Memorial day because his grave is far from Texas but I am happy for me. I have a son buried in S.D. and very much hate that I cannot visit his grave. Tracy choose to be buried in Idaho because his in-laws are buried in this same cemetery and he was very close to them plus his wife (probably the main reason) wanted to buried by her parents.

Memorial Day 2012

Kunane bought Rib Eye Steaks for all of us.
They were huge and tender and most wonderful.
Thank you Kunane

This is my sweet daughter Lanessa. She is under this blanket for a couple reasons. One she is freezing (it was pretty chilly) and also she didn't want her picture taken. So I took it anyway.

Tylee and Addason stayed on these chairs during the whole dinner reading their books. I didn't mind them reading, I just hate them growing up. They used to come and jump on the tramp and play in Kunane's back yard. But at least they came. Way too soon they will be where Bayler is now, always with friends.

Josh, Shellece and Jace just relaxing in Kunane's backyard. Nothing better than doing nothing.

This scene brings back so many memories from when my own children were small. Now my grown son is making root beer for us all. Time marches on ready or not.

My free time

Monday was Memorial Day and so of course I had it off. I spent most of the
day planting flowers in my front and back yard. I love it!

Isn't the umbrella just cutest thing. Another new thing for my yard.
Kunane put in this new little patio with my rock garden last year. I bought new chairs and a little table to go with it. I am sure all my grandkids will want to eat there. I think it is so pretty.

Channings 22nd Birthday

We always put the ribbons on the Birthday person (at least we try to put them on). Chan looks so cute!!!! Love that kid.

Channing all dressed up for his birthday party. Nothing more comfy than lounging pants and t-shirt. Can't believe my baby is a grown man now. Channing loves chocolate covered strawberries so I made him a plate full of them and then put them on his cake too.

For Mothers Day, Desiree gave me some plants with the promise that her and the girls were going to come over and plant my whole flower bed in the front yard. I felt kinda guilty seeing Des down on her knees being 7 months (or whatever she is) pregnant. The girls weren't too thrilled but the yard looks wonderful and I am grateful. It was a nice present and very thoughtful.

Tony's 17th birthday, May 20 2011

Tony wanted an ice cream cake--that's what he got.

Tony didn't want to tear it down so he climbed under it all. What a nut!!

For those that don't know I do Foster and Proctor care. I currently have a young man named Tony Cruise living with us that has been with us since the beginning of May 2011. On May 20 it was his 17th birthday. Lanessa, Tenaya and myself decorated his bedroom door.

The Greatest Runners in Wellsville

What a Day! I had five grandkids that ran in the Wellsville Mile this year. Addason, Tylee and Avery Gunnell, Tanner Donnell and Clay Gunnell. I told the kids I would take them out to eat afterwards not knowing that 'afterwards' was after ALL the races, lunch for the kids, ceremony and prize give away. We didn't leave Wellsville untill 2:30. Everyone decided to go out to eat at Golden Corral which was great because we had no complaints. It was a great time all the way around.

Mothers Day

Generally speaking this is a day that I pretty much dread. Not this year. It was a perfect day. The only thing that could have made it better is if all my children had been there. Radell and Davinn were not present but I received calls from both of them. I took a picture of all my presents, not to brag, but so that I could remember. It was a beautiful day, wonderful food and great company. Everyone got along wonderfully, which is what every mother wants.

Averys 10th Birthday

Can you tell by all the expressions that Avery is most excited for her Birthday? She got to choose what cake she wanted and she picked a Chocolate Angel Food Cake. Yummy!! I got her a snow cone machine which I think she liked.
